History of Rotary in the Arab Republic of Egypt

A Part of Our History of Rotary in Africa

This large country comprises over 1 million sq km and has a population of nearly 70 million. Arabic, English and French are the main languages.

There are 75 Rotary Clubs spread throughout the country, the first and oldest of which is the Rotary Club of Cairo which was chartered on 11 March 1929 and supported by 108 regular members.
