History of Rotary in the Republic of the Sudan

A Part of Our History of Rotary in Africa

this is not a historical record; we hope that our members can provide us with history of Rotary in this country

Sudan is a country of 2.5 million sq km and a population of 36 million.
The official languages are Arabic and English although other widely spoken languages include Nubian, Ta Bedawie, Nilo-Hamitic, and other Sudanic languages.

The capital city of Khartoum is home to the first and only Rotary club in the country, the Rotary Club of Khartoum which was chartered on 27 June 1938.
The club has 35 regular members and holds its meetings in English.
