Left - John, Historian Basil Lewis, PDG Anne Louttit, and Rotary Global History founding member PDG Eddie Blender at the 2004 Osaka Convention. "Rotary, shaped by the changes that influenced the course of the 20th century, is now part of the fabric of global society. The story of Rotary is the story of Rotarians; ordinary men and women called to the role of service. If the history of Rotarians’ contributions to Australia and the world can encourage greater 'Service Above Self' and contribute to a wider understanding of the 'Object of Rotary', it should significantly add to an appreciation of why Rotary will be needed more tomorrow than it was yesterday." |
