ROTARY PEACE COMMUNITIES - ARGENTINA

#1. Tigre, Buenos Aires, was the first city in Argentina to be inducted into the world-wide group of Rotary Peace Cities on 24 March 2001 under the guidance of RC Tigre, D4820 and was  initiated by Patricia Monica Sontag Baigros.
The declaration of peace by the Government bodies of Tigre, created a rapid increase in official Rotary Peace Cities in Argentina -
#2. San Juan Province & San Juan City, were the first of 11 cities and districts to make their public Declaration of Peace, all on 6 April 2001, also becoming the first province (or state) to declare peace. The RC San Juan of D4860 sponsored this induction which was, along with all other cities mentioned below, initiated by Patricia Monica Santos Baigros & Graciela Moya de Segovia. Patricia and Graciela had spent many months discussing and negotiating with the relevant government authorities and Rotary Clubs in the various cities. It was their joint desire to coordinate all 10 cities in Argentina to make their public declarations simultaneously. Can you imagine the pleasure of realising that their goal had been met?
These are the Cities which were organised by these two extremely hard working Rotarians.
