ROTARY PEACE COMMUNITIES, JAPAN

 #1. The first officially recognised and registered Peace Community in Japan was the city of Kobe which was registered within the Rotary International community of Peace Cities on 23 November 1995. The event was initiated by Moto Nishimura.
 #2. Ibaraki, Japan was installed as a Peace City in 1995 and initiated by Moto Nishimura and Kenji Nakamura.
 #3. East Hiroshima, Japan  was installed on 5 June 1996 under the guidance of R/C Higashi Hiroshima and initiated by Moto Nishimura. 
 #4.  Gifu City, Japan was formally announced in 1997 as a Peace City under the sponsorship of RC  Gifu East, D2630 and initiated by Moto Nishimura.
 
#6. Ikeda City, Osaka was declared on 23 February 2003 under the guidance of RC Ikeda City, D2660 and initiated by by Moto Nishimura & Koumyo Matsuo
