 #1. Zemun, Belgrade, became the first Peace City in Serbia, in Eastern Europe and in the Balkans when it declared itself a Rotary Peace City on 9 April 2002. The event was sponsored by the RC Zemun, D2480 and initiated by Pres Slobonan Vukovic.
