The "PHILIPPINE ROTARY WATCH" Initiative
An initiative introduced by the Rotary Club of Forbes Park, is described as "A national project by Philippine Rotary Clubs for Peace & Order" and has the ability to spread around the world via its logo, "Obey the Law".
The project was implemented via a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Rotary Clubs in the 10 Rotary Districts that represent the Philippines. The MoU was signed in Makita City and dated 29 June 2009.

Rotary Watch is a national volunteer program by Rotarians all over the Philippines aimed at assisting the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the identification and reporting of nominated offences and infringements. The critical contribution of volunteers is the fact that Rotarians
1. are mobile
2. have immediate access to communications facilities
3. and largely remain anonymous.

In addition to increased peace and order within the community, Rotary Watch aims to elevate the volunteer’s awareness and consciousness that peace and order is also the community’s responsibility as well as to reduce the level of citizens’ tolerance towards those who break the law.

Rotary Watch Volunteers are tasked to identify and report to the PNP matters relating to reckless driving, smoke belching, drug abuse, crime as it occurs, traffic infringements, mulcting and other matters as may be identified by the Philippine National Police.

The PNP & ROTARY WATCH Alliance boosted the police force by 21,490 additional volunteers as at June 2009.
Rotary Clubs all over the Philippines entered into the alliance with the Philippine National Police (PNP) on June 29, 2009.
The Police Law Enforcement Professionals Fellowship of Rotarians (PoLEPFR) entered into partnership with the Rotary Club of Makati Forbes Park at the end of 2010 to inspire, guide and implement this project.
This is the second major international initiative of PoLEPFR after its world famous Rotary District Peace Communities Programme on which we also have a fascinating history.
