History In 1968, Rotaract was founded in Germany, a common contact and information to be able to provide information within the clubs and districts and distribute the organisation more efficiently. In 1989, Germany advanced on an official level with the establishment of "Germany Rotaract Committee" as the supreme organ of the common binding for contacts and information. In April 2004, at the German Conference, a new national constitution was created and the operation of the German Committee was restructured.  Rotaract Germany is divided into 14 districts. These are prescribed by Rotary International and have been within its borders since 1995. Each district has its district Rotaract (District Rotaract Representative, DRR). This is a member of the Rotaract Committee Germany, representative of all clubs in his district. The district representatives may appoint several assistants (Assistant District Rotaract Representative, ADRR) to assist it in its work. The number of assistants depends on the size of each district. Clubs | At December 2010, there are 2623 active members of 161 active clubs spread throughout Germany. The Rotaract Club of Marburg was the first club in Germany having been chartered on 15 October 1968, a few months after the first Rotaract club in America. Clubs in Mainz (1973), Gießen (1974) and Trier (1975) followed.
