William R. Robbins of Miami Florida was one of the 5 members of
the 1961-62 ad hoc Committee on Youth and authors of the
Interact Plan.A letter from M.B. (Pete) McMillan Jnr who was a member of Greensboro Rotary Club, North Carolina, published in the October 1965 Rotarian says that his club reacted swiftly to a letter from the RI President Nitish Laharry and within a few months, had enlisted 18 charter members of the Interact Club of Grimsley Senior High School, which then became only the 15th Interact Club in the world. Clubs | The Rotarian of June 1977 reports that the Interact of Ateneo de San Pablo, San Pablo City hosted a basketball league for all the elementary schools in their city over a 25 week period.
