In 1936 the Harrises visited Brazil 1 |
In 1936 the Harrises visited Brazil. They travelled to Rio de Janeiro by train from Sao Paulo. This was to be their last stop on a tour which had taken them through Latin America, visiting clubs and meeting Rotarians in several countries. Their last view of Brazil was from the sea as they sailed back North. See also 'Friendship Trees' for ones planted on this tour; see also articles on Coates and Momsen as 'Early Leaders' and also Pereira among the RI Presidents. A full account of his tour written by Harris himself can be found in 'Peregrinations 3'.
