Mrs. Jean Harris standing on the terraced front lawn of 'Comely Bank', |
|
These photos of a colour photograph show Mrs Jean Harris standing on the terraced front lawn of 'Comely Bank', the Harris home in the South Chicago suburbs. The house at 108560 Longwood Drive was named after the area of Edinburgh, Scotland, in which Jean Harris, nee Thomson, had originally lived. Paul Harris bought the house in 1910 and it remained their home until his death in 1947. The home of Paul and Jean Harris, was acquired for Rotary in 2005. For further information on this, please see the pages of the RHHIF, the Heritage and History Fellowship. |
