THE A.E. GRAY POTTERY OF STOKE ON TRENT The Silver Jubilee pitchers were by no means the only Rotary work done by the A.E. Gray pottery of Stoke on Trent. In this glass case, are samples of other items made by the pottery. Many are for the Stoke on Trent Rotary Club but others were made for wider distribution. Only three of the goblets, one of which is in the centre of this photo, are known and two are in the RIBI offices in Alcester. The third was given to the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, Stoke-on-Trent for safe keeping after it was exhibited there in 1982. Paul Niblett has compiled an account of the pottery and of A.E.Gray on www.grayspottery.co.uk which includes a section on Rotary material. More here... |
