It looks to me like the postcard is authentic. Guernsey had quite distinctive handwriting, as you can see from the attached document (comparing the capital G especially). I am attaching the short biographic data that I have on hand as well as a photograph of the Guernsey family at the International Convention in San Francisco in 1947. I hope this helps!
