I am a Rotarian because I believe and
emulate Rotary in my life.
Dear
Rotarians,
THE OBJECTIVE OF ROTARY
1.
Development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service.
2 High ethical standards in business and
professions; the recognition of
the worthiness of all useful occupations; and
dignifying each Rotarian's
occupation as an opportunity to service society;
3. Application of the ideal of service in each
Rotarian's personal, business
and community life.
4. Advancement of international understanding,
goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and
professional persons united in the ideal of service. “Each
Rotarian is a connecting link between the idealism of Rotary and
his profession”
The 4 way test- of the things we think or do is to be
emulated in our life.
Rotary’s principal motto “Service
above Self”
Main obligation is to be a leader in all endeavors-
Social, Civic and National,
which makes the human life better.
Unique benefit is in developing a new outlook on one’s
own business or
profession; Seeing it as a
service to the community rather than an instrument
of private gain.
In
the light of above we have to evaluate
our Rotary life and strive for it. Joining
Rotary is perhaps easier but practicing Rotary is not.
Becoming a Rotarian is
worthy gift of GOD to Humanity. Practice this year theme
of our RIP “Reach
Within to Embrace Humanity” Mr. Kalyan Banerjee 2011-2012.
History is the soul of any organization.
To know an organization it is worth devoting
time to read it. RI provides this opportunity through their
approved forum of RGHF- Rotary
Global History Fellowship.
