in SOUTH AFRICA

History of IIW in South Africa   Clubs   Districts  
 
 History 
 South Africa became only the fifth country in the world to host an Inner Wheel club when the IWC Port Elizabeth was incorporated in 1938.
 
 Districts 
Two districts are responsible for the administration of the Inner Wheel in the southern section of Africa -
District 935 covers 9 clubs in Cape Town and 1 club in Saldanha Bay;
District 932 covers nine clubs extending from Port Elizabeth in the south to Gaborone in Botswana in the north.
 Clubs
 The first Inner Wheel club in South Africa was also the first club on the continent. IWC Port Elizabeth was formed in 1938 and presently falls within District 932.
