The INTERNATIONAL INNER WHEEL
in WALES

History of IIW in Wales   Clubs   Districts  
 
 History 
 The first club to be formed in Wales was that of the Inner Wheel Club of Newport which was formed in 1931, predating the IWC Cardiff by 6 years.

 Districts 
There are 2 districts which cover the counties in Wales -
 District 15 which covers the counties of Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire on the West coast, part of Powys in Mid Wales and across the South Wales counties to Gwent in the East; and
 District 18 which covers all the northern counties.

 Clubs
 In District 15, the oldest club is the IWC Newport which was formed in 1931, followed by IWC Cardiff in 1937 and no less than 5 clubs which were all formed in 1938.
