The INTERNATIONAL INNER WHEEL
in ESTONIA

History of IIW in Estonia   Clubs   Districts

 History
 For so many years, the Baltic states suffered from oppression via German and Russian occupations and it was only in 1992, less than 12 months after the Rotary Club of Tallinn was created, that it along with other Rotary clubs, guided the first Inner Wheel club to be introduced in the form of the Inner Wheel club of Tallinn. The club was chartered on 24 March 1992 and Anne Hütt was installed as the Founding President.

 Districts
  The Inner Wheel clubs in Estonia remain un-districted like their Rotary counterparts.
 Clubs
 Clearly, both the men and women in Estonia were very keen to expand the benefits of club membership in their country.
 The history of Rotary and Inner Wheel in Estonia, shows that 2 February and 30 December 1992, three Rotary clubs and two Inner Wheel clubs were formed.
 The second Inner Wheel club was formed less than 2 months after Tallinn - the Inner Wheel Club of Tartu was chartered on 21 May 1992 and installed Tiia Karelson as its Founding President;
 On 4 November 1996 the Türi Inner Wheel Club, number 3 in Estonia, was chartered.
