 History 
 For Nordic countries Inner Wheel arrived in 1935 when a club was formed in Bergen, Norway.
The first club in Sweden was formed by Jeanne Liedholm in 1949 when she was responsible for the creation of the Inner Wheel Club of Filipstad.

In 1967, a change of name of the governing body created the International Inner Wheel and in the same year, the Swedish Inner Wheel Council was formed to administer all clubs in Sweden.

 Districts 
Inner Wheel in Sweden is divided for administrative purposes, into 9 districts as follows -
  District 232 with 8 clubs and 305 members;
  District 233 with 13 clubs and 430 members;
  District 234 with 11 clubs and 367 members;
  District 235 with 17 clubs and 752 members including the Åland Islands;
  District 236 with 15 clubs and 647 members;
  District 238 with 12 clubs and 433 members;
  District 239 with 19 clubs and 816 members;
  District 240 with 16 clubs and 639 members; and
  District 241 with 9 clubs and 432 members.
