Dr. Stephanie A. Urchick 2012-2014 |
Dr.
Stephanie A. Urchick has considerable experience performing executive
management, organizational and leadership consulting, and inspirational
speaking in corporate and higher education environments. She currently
serves as the Executive Director of the Southpointe Property Owners’
Association and is the CEO of the Southpointe CEO Association, both
located in western PA. Additionally, she handles business development
and non-credit instruction for Robert Morris University’s division of
off-campus and online programs, and owns a training company aimed at
helping new hires thrive in the workplace. Her academic credentials include an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania, a Masters degree in Education from Duquesne University, and a doctorate in Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Active in numerous community boards and committees, Stephanie became the first ATHENA Award recipient in 2003 for Washington County, PA , has been honored by Zonta International and the Sons of the American Revolution, was named District 7330 Rotarian of the Year, and has received the Distinguished Service Award from The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. A Rotarian since 1991, Stephanie is a member of the Rotary Club of Canonsburg Houston Southpointe, PA and is a TRF Major Donor and Bequest Society member. She has served Rotary as a Foundation Trustee, District Governor, Regional Foundation Coordinator for ZONE 29, International Training Leader, RI President’s Representative, district delegate to Councils on Legislation, Training Leader at Zone meetings, and in various club and district Foundation roles. Stephanie is frequently invited to speak at PETS programs, Foundation Seminars and other Rotary events throughout North America. She is a certified instructor for the Rotary Leadership Institute, and has trained major donor possibility teams in six Zone 29 districts. In 2013, Stephanie organized a “million dollar dinner” for three Western Pennsylvania Rotary districts that generated $3 million for The Rotary Foundation. Stephanie has participated in a variety of international service projects, including NIDs in India and Nigeria, the building of an elementary school in Vietnam, filter installation in the Dominican Republic, and mentoring new Rotarians in the Ukraine. Securing mammography equipment and a biopsy unit for a hospital in Poland was the district-wide TRF matching grant that Stephanie coordinated with the Rotary Club of Krakow. In its commemorative book, the Rotary Club of Krakow noted Stephanie Urchick as one of the agents helping the re-birth of Rotary in post-Communist Poland. |
