The Articles of Incorporation of ROTARY/One are presented to special guests. In this case, and for the first time, to an incoming president of Rotary International shortly after taking office. RIP Rick King 2001-2002 and RO President 2001-2002 John Alberts

RIP Richard "Rick" D. King, Niles-Fremont, California, USA acknowledges his mounted copy of the famous document which founded Rotary. The incorporation did not take place until the summer of 1908 after San Francisco had become the second club, however, prior to that club's charter by the Chicago Club.

2003-2004 RI President Jonathan Majiyagbe also received a copy of the articles on his first day at the first president from the continent of Africa and the first black president of Rotary International. It was also the day of the ringing of the first Centennial Bell at the early stages of the centennial of the Rotary Club of Chicago and thus, Rotary International.
