History of Rotary in United Arab Emirates

this is not a historical record; we hope that our members can provide us with history of Rotary in this country

The United Arab Emirates is a country of 82,800 sq km with a population of 5.4 million. The official language is Arabic but Persian, English and Urdu are widely spoken.

The capital city of Abu Dhabi is the home to the first Rotary club in the country, the Rotary Club of Dubai which was chartered on 3 March 2002. The Rotary Club of Dubai has 114 regular members and holds its meetings in English.

The Rotary Club of Jumeirah was chartered on 30 April 2007, has 22 regular members and also holds its meetings in English.
