History Rotaract was introduced to Benin by the Rotary Club of Cotonou Lagune and guided the charter of Rotaract Club of Cotonou Lagune to its charter on 18 June 1989.

The Rotaract clubs of Benin share District 9100 with all the Rotaract Clubs of the following other countries - Burkina (7), Cap-Vert (1), Cote D'Ivoire (12), Gambie (1), Ghana (17), Guine Bissau (1), Guinee (2), Liberia (1), Mali (6), Niger (2), Senegal (3), Sierra Leone (1) and Togo (0). With 14 countries, District 9100 is the most multi-national District in the Rotary World.

At 2010/11 there were 7 Rotaract clubs in Benin, the first being the Rotaract Club of Cotonou Lagunes which was chartered on 18 June 1989 and sponsored by The Rotary Club or Cotonou Lagunes and has 36 members; This club was followed by Rotaract Club de Abomey-Calavi on 14 June 2004 and later by Rotaract Club de Cotonou Centre.
