The Rotary Club of Ulaanbaatar is the first Rotary Club founded in Mongolia. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Shatin, Hong Kong, the Club was admitted into Rotary International on January 10, 1996 and chartered on May 13, 1996.

The club is English speaking and has 30 members including a number of foreign members - citizens of USA, UK, Germany, Japan, Israel & Australia.

The Rotary Club of Ulaanbaatar has inaugurated two daughter clubs (Khuree and Gobi), and in 2000 the first Rotaract Club (for 18 – 28 year olds) was formed, and will this year be celebrating its 5th anniversary.  To help in the development of schoolchildren the 1st Interact club (14 – 18 years) was established at the Music and Dance college.
