The Inner Wheel Club of Paramaribo (the capital
city of Suriname) was formed in 1971. |
As this event occurred 4 years prior to the country's independence from the Netherlands, it was at the time, one of the constituent countries of the Kingdom of the Nederlands and for that reason, was included under the administration of Inner Wheel Netherlands. Districts |
As at 2010, the Inner Wheel Club of Paramaribo is included under District 60 which includes such clubs as Rotterdam, some 10,000 miles away. The club shares this distinction with the Inner Wheel of Curacao, another Dutch language club in the Central America/Caribbean region.
