"Before I joined Rotary I thought it was a Roti eating (Dinner)
Club. But when I entered Rotary, I realized early that Fellowship
for the Greatest Good and Service Above Self was the real spirit of
Rotary.
In 1917, Paul Harris had said, 'The power of combined effort knows
no limitation.' Rotary & Rotary Foundation has, through the combined
efforts and sacrifices of thousands of Rotarians, contributed
billions of US$ towards improving quality of life (health,
education, environment, vocations) and ushered in peace where there
were conflicts. Latest example is contribution of more than one
billion US$ towards Polio Plus Program. (This history) Project would create a
great repository of Resource for future Rotarians, Rotary Clubs and
the Rotary leaders. It is a great opportunity to serve on the Board
of RGHF at this period of Rotary Global History."
Past professional experience: "I was
officer of the Nagaland State Government since 1961 and served
there in various capacities like Chief Judicial Magistrate,
District Judge, Resident Commissioner, Additional Secretary to
the State Government, Justice, Law & Parliamentary Affairs. I
retired in 1987 from the Government Service and since then I
have been practicing as an Attorney in the Supreme Court of
India. I am a member of the Supreme Court Bar and Secretary to
the Bar Association of India. I am a Fellow of the Indian
Council of Arbitration."
