A Chauffeur driven reunion tour of the United States by AMTRAK
US Passenger Rail' 8th May to 11th June 2008 features the travel by
rail exclusively, to enable a 67 year old Rotarian to visit his
previous Rotary clubs in the US, to re unite with other members.
In company with his wife, who is also his care giver as he is partially handicapped; Rtn CP Tom Shanahan PHP, Senior Active, 'Hospitality Services' currently with the RC of Morwell, Victoria Australia; will begin his tour of the US at Los Angeles Ca then travel the next 10,092 chauffeur driven miles to the following cities/ towns primarily: Yuma Az; San Antonio Tx; Chicago Il; Cleveland Oh; Pittsburgh Pa; Philadelphia Pa; New York Ny; Boston Ma; Washington DC; Rocky Mount NC; Washington DC; Chicago Il; Walnut Ridge (Paragould) Ar; Marshall Tx; Austin Tx; San Antonio Tx; Houston Tx; Yuma Az returning to Los Angeles in time to attend the 99th Rotary International Convention 12 - 18 June 2008. This entire tour will be well documented and photographed (Cindy is an excellent photographer) for future publications. |
The principal sponsor for this tour is AMTRAK US Passenger Rail, who through their Australia and Pacific marketing arm, Asia Pacific Travel Marketing Services Pty Ltd, (APTMS), have prepared and coordinated the intricate scheduling requirements that required their experienced reservations personnel to produce thus ensuring the trip would be professionally prepared.
